Aloha!
I’m Jen. I am a top-performing and data-driven communicator and collaborator, with a penchant for relationship building and serving the public good. My path has often been nontraditional, but nonetheless has been immensely valuable in shaping who I am, what I value, and what I can bring to the table. I firmly believe that understanding the information that forms one’s culture is the key to unlocking the links to society and facilitating change.
From 2012 until 2014, I served as an Assistant Field Coordinator at the Two Brothers Foundation, where I was responsible for the operations of a small-nonprofit organization dedicated education, mentorship, social justice, and community service. Throughout those years, I also picked up work teaching English privately outside of the favela and as a production assistant for the AACTA award-winning documentary, “In the Shadow of the Hill.”

After returning to the United States, I earned a B.A. in Integrated Social Sciences at the University of Washington. To enrich my life in academia and broaden my perspectives, I managed to weave other experiences by making my way across Western Europe, Pape’te, Tahiti and then to a sustainable Tahitian pearl farm in the remote Tuamotu Archipelago in French Polynesia – where I would spend 21 days without internet, cell service, or plumbing and learn about pearl farming and how the farm’s techniques were increasing the biodiversity of the local reef. From there, I passed through New Zealand’s north island and then moved onward to Australia, where I lived and worked for a year as a Service Administrator for Olympus Australia and New Zealand.
Most recently, my work experience includes serving as a Marketing Director for Plataforma Impact, Marketing and Student Recruitment Specialist for the University of Washington School of Public Health Department of Health Services, and as a Marketing Assistant at OceanGate, Inc. for the Titanic Survey Expedition.

I am also a certified Rescue Diver, currently undergoing my training to become a Divemaster. In my spare time, you can find me scuba diving in the cold waters of the Pacific Northwest, reading, drawing, paddle boarding, running, cycling or dancing Tahitian styles of dance.
I am passionate about environmentalism, social justice, health equity, human rights, physical and mental health advocacy, and driving calls to action.
I’m devoted to collaboration and I love creating connectivity among people, teams, organizations, institutions, the public, and so on.
